NEW ZEALAND PLANTS. PROCLAMATION MODIFIED. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright MELBOURNE, November 24. The proclamation prohibiting the importation of New Zealand plants, owing to tlie existence of ,pear blight, has been modified to provide that agricultural grass, vegetable and flower seeds, also the seeds of pine trees and ornamental shrubs or trees, may bo imported with the exception of the seeds of any plants of the family rcsaceal and of any fruit. ELECTRIC POWER IN TASMANIA. HUGE SUB-STATION OPENED. HOBART, November 24. The largest electricity sub-station in the Southern Hemisphere has been opened adjacent to the electrolytic zinc works at Risdon.
