Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, October 15. After the extraction of a tooth, a Newcastle resident, aged 24, slowly bled to death. The bleeding continued for ro days, despite the application by medical men of even - known remedy. The Indian Students’ InquiiV Committee, which recently visited India, recommends the cancellation of the Army Council’s regulation debarring Indians from admission to the universities' officers’ training corps. It appears that a large number of Indians are joining the German universities under the belief that they will not bo welcomed by the British universities.—A. and N.Z. Cable. TOKIO, October 14. Chang Tso-lin is reported to have purchased the steamer Simbirsk, a former Russian vessel, which is lying at Kobe, for conversion into a fast cruiser. The Simbirsk is one of the Russian volunteer fleet which M. Lenin attempted to seize, but it took refuge in Japanese waters. Red agents attempted to seize it at Nagasaki a. year ago. This resulted in a bloody deck light.—Reuter.
