ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
ACCUSED WOMAN’S DEATH. (Pee United Press Association.) AUCKLAND. • October 1. Kathleen Imrio died in the hospital today. She was a daughter-in-law of Mrs O’Shaughnessy, with whom she was arrested on a charge that on August 16. by omission to perform a legal duty, they caused the death of Elsie Mary Fraider, Deceased was a married woman. 29 years of age. She leaves a baby. The ease was called in the Police Court on Friday, when a remand to next Thursday was granted on account of Mrs Imrie’s ill-health. A SOLICITOR'S DEATH. HAMILTON, October 1. Mr T. P. Walshe, solicitor, inarriea, wad found dead in his office last night with his head over tho gas ring. He had previously threatened to commit suicide. Deceased was formerly a prominent footballer. A YOUNG MAN SHOT IN THE HEAD. TTMARU, October 1. On Saturday a young man named Ebeoe/.or Vincent, a butcher at Pare ora freezing works, was found' in Ihe river bed near the township with a bullet wound in his forehead, lie was removed to Timaru Hospital, where he was operated on. Ho was unconscious when admitted to Ihe hospital at about 2 p.m., and was slid in that stale to-day. His condition is very serious. Few particulars are available, but it is understood that a pea rifle was lying alongside the unfortunate man. FATALITY AT HAWEA. A young man named George Robertson, 28 years of age. was killed at, Hawea on Friday mglif. Deceased and two companions were going lo a ball, when the motor car in which they were travelling capsized.
