The Standard states that the newspaper insurance craze has reached a stage that the bubble probably will burst soon, leaving a nasty odour behind. The Standard declared that the insurance companies are sick of the business,'aud'none of them will continue beyond the'present contracts. The companies are flooded .with bogus claims, with the result that newspaper insurance is ending disastrously for the newspapers and the public, and liquidation must bring a certain stigma on otherwise reputable journalism.—A. and N.Z.
