EDUCATION BOARD
ELECTION RESULTS The votes for the election of members to represent the Urban Area and the North and South wartls on the Education Board, which have been lying at the board’s offices for the time required by law, were counted yesterday. Two members were required for the Urban area and one each for the North and South wards. Messrs L. Sanderson and J. H. Wilkinson were returned for the Urban Area with an equal number of votes, and- Mr A. E. Lawrence was elected for the North ward and Mr G W. K. Wood for the South ward. There was not one informal vote among the 345 votes cast in the Urban area, and there were only two in the case of eadh of the other divisions. A total of 890 votes was cast. The new members will take office on August 9. Mr J. Smith, being the only candidate for the Central ward, was previously declared returned. The new board will now be constituted os follows: 'Messrs J. Wallace, R. H. Todd, J. H. Wilkinson, L. Sanderson (Urban Area); George Livingstone and A. E. Lawrence (North ward); Hon. D. T. Fleming and G. W. K. Wood (South ward); James Smith and J. Horn, M.P. (Central). Details of the voting follow; Urban Area. Leonard Sanderson _. 165 James.
