PHYSICAL DISPLAY

About 150 people were present nt the annual junior physical display at the Y..M.G.A. Gymnasium last evening. Tito junior girls, with their marching and wand drill, pleased the audience very much, as did'also tho small boys under 12 in their turn. The older boys were well up in their form on tho apparatus, including the horse, parallel bars, and the horizontal bars. The tumbling of a small group of boys was considered as excellent work for these boys under 16, who have learnt all their work at tho V.M.C.A. Gymnasium. A bout between C. Thomson and E. Flawn was very exciting. A basket ball game between tho two representative teams of tho Boys’ Department Basketball League gave a very fine exhibition of basketball. The passing of the boys was particularly good, and of the attempts made for goals a big proportion wore secured. After the display a big crowd gathered in tho assembly hall to hear the result of the cake weight-guessing competition. Tho winner was Miss Dolly Orlowski, who guessed 51b. A minstrel troup concert this evening concludes the (luce days of the Fair Week. At this time Hobby Show prizes will be presented. Tho cup for inter-school and club competition was won easily by Ist. Roslyn Scouts 1 37 points), with >St. Dominic’s College second (2.3 points).
