DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. An improvement, so far as business was concerned, .was noticeable on ’Change yesterday. Two parcels of South British Insurance were placed in the morning at 87s, and in the afternoon there was a buyer at 36s 9d and no declared seller. Huddart Parker had fair turnover at 46e 6d, 475, and 47s 3d end closed with a buyer offering 475, the seller asking 47s 9d. A parcel of Mount Lyell wa» placed at 16s 6d, and the market closed with A twopenny margin. Only 6d divided buyer and seller of Union Bank, but neither would budge. Other banking and insurance lines were practically unchanged, though in the majority of cases buyers were not quite so liberal in their offers as of late. ' Government stocks wore firm, with no quotable exchanges.
