In bis Budget speech the Minister of Finance announced that steps would he taken to prevent dumping owing to differences in exchange. The difference between the f.o.b. price as given and the f.o.b. price ae - determined by the Gover-nor-General wfiuld be charged as exchange duty, but would not exceed 50 per cent, of the value. —A. and N.Z.
