Brethren of the Ivanhoe Lodge assembled in large numbers to greet A.D. Bro. Cuibert at the Waratah Tea Rooms, j • Bro. Baird paid an official visit as did the Enterprise Lodge. P.G.P.’s Bro. Shelton and 1 Haymes resigned their positions as secretary and treasurer, which were accepted, these brethren not agreeing with a principle laid down by the Grand Lodge and endorsed by the lodge. Bro. Clatworthy and Bro. Gerrie were elected secretary and treasurer respectively, and were installed in their offices by D.PI Bro. Baird, assisted by P.D.P. Bro. M'Beath. Visiting P.D.P. a Bros. M'Bcath, Knox, Bond, Walker, Reid, Ockwell, and P.G.P. Bro. Alexander attended. The loyal toasts \were responded to by Bro. Baird and P.D.P. Bro. Reid on behalf of the Chapter and Inly of the Valle;# L< Th© ’monthly meeting the phapter was held in the Waratah Tea Rooms, R.A.D. Bro; Lethaby presiding over a fair attendance of past officers. A past officer from Good Intent Lodge presented his certificates for A.D. and P.A. degrees, which 'he received. The'principal business before-the chapter was the appointment of general efficiency judges, which was adjourned till next meeting. A syllabus of solo competitions for the winter months was agreed to. The Beazley banner , won by the Otago Ledge, was ordered to he presented on June 19. .. , Otago Lodge No. 1* was presided over by WA. Bro. Maslan. The lodge, Commenced work at 7.30, a considerable amount of business was transacted, and at 8 pm. the Royal Arch Chapter officers, under the guidance of R.V.A. Bro. . Walker, attended officially, and received a hearty welcome. The toasts were given, and the .“Chapter was responded to bv P.R.A. Bro. Whitty; P.A. Bro-. Baird presided at the usual meeting of the Lily of the Valley Lodge. Considerable routine‘‘business vrafi disposed of. A candidate was received into the order. P.D.P.’s Bros Reid and-Lethaby were appointed delegates to the U.F.S. Dispensary annual meeting. The meeting of All Nations Lodge was held in the Druids’ Hall, Port Chalmers, and was presided over bv A.D. Bro. Rennie. There was a large attendance, and after the routine business had been carried out, sick pay ,to the amount of £lO ‘ 10s was passed for payment. Several invitations from various lodges were received. Bro. Reeves was aopomted a delegate to confer with other delegates with reference to local hosnital- representation. Brol Leftwioh -gave » detailed report of the coming card tournament. It was decided to have _ft social on the occasion of the presentation of a P.D.P. collar to Bro. Reeves and also to tender a social to the school band. The following were elected a team for, the card tournament: —Bros. Fordham, Thompson, Brown, Timlin. Walker, Clark, Madigan, Wilson, Bray, and Leftwioh (captain).,. - The ordinary meeting 'of the Roval Oak Lodge was presided oyer by A.D. Bro. Drysdale. Correspondence was received from the secretary of the Enterprise Lodge. inviting the Royal Oak Lodge to be present at the. presentation of a P.D.P. collar to P.D.P. Bro. A. Ockwell, and it was resolved to attend officially- Two candidates were admitted and three more proposed. After the sick pay was passed and the usual toasts honoured thp lodge was handed over tef the Syllabus Committee fo rthe purpose of carrying out the vice-arch competition. Five brethren competed, the winner being P.A. Bro. W. B. Hudson, with P.A. Bro. T .H. Hudson second. A vote of thanks was accorded the judges fßros. R.. Thom,son. D.P.. and Bro. A. ‘Mitchell, treasurer). Bro. Robertson presided over a fair attendance of members of Linden Lodge. A good deal of satisfaction was expressed to hear that the Ivanhoe Lodge was once more within the fold. The Social Committee submitted the syllabus for the ensuing winter months, and after some discussion it was adopted. ,
