AMUSEMENTS
The chief picture at the Queen’s Theatre is “Ihe Cup of Life,” a very interesting film. The supports include gazettes and comedies. At Everybody’s Theatre 'The Kid” is the masterpiece, and only a few mqre opportunities remain for seeing it. The chief support is “The Forbidden Thing.” The feature of the programme at King Edward Theatre is "Tire Forbidden Thing,” k Ib've story of great interest, and of an emotional character. ' "The Little Minister,” in which is featured Betty Compson, is the great attraction at' the Empire Theatre. It is founded on Sir James Barrie’s play, and is well supported. Buck Jones is to be seen at the Grand Theatre in “The Last Straw.” His acts of horsemanship are surprising. “The Last Straw” is strongly supported. , The Plaza Theatre is showing a good programme just now. It includes a Fox Western drama of struggle and intrigue in the cattle country, and is well supported. ' Ihe Birth of New Zealand” is being screened at the Octagon Theatre, and is closely attended by ■'The Puppet Man.” There are other supports.
