KNOX CHURCH SPIRITUAL MISSION

Tho mission was continued' last night when the Rev. Tullooh Yuille had as his subject, “Can n Man Deliver Himself from Sin’s Guilt and Power? Ho spoke of the universality of the sense of guilt, inspired in men by the presence of good will, found also in little children. Nothing breeds despair like remorse, especially when it is remorse for hurt, done to other people, dt is this sense of guilt which gives sm its power; for it leads men to give up, the battle for goodness. ft breeds sometimes the profligate/, sometimes the mediocre cynic, sometimes Iho gloomy but earnest, emleavourer. 'lho preacher pleaded for a gladsome, wholesome life, which accepts the Gospel of forgiveness just as it stands, and which ip, the freedom of it buoyantly triumphs. There was a good attendance once more, and Rev. A. AV Kimnont led the devotions. Air Paget Gale and the choir did much to make the service beautiful and bright. To-night tho meeting will take the form of a quiet gathering for meditation and prayer., ■
