In view of the unsatisfactory position of Persian affairs, the Mejliss, at the Prime Minister’s request, appointed a Commission representing all the parliamentary parties to assist the Cabinet in formulating a policy in the best interests of the country. The Prime Minister (Moshired Dowlah) favours the development of the North Persian oilfields and hhe engagement of foreign advisers, which the Mejliss has hitherto refused.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
