THE LATEST BATCH. (P EB UNITED t’RBSS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON. April 26. The Waimana arrived yesterday from London with 1190 immigrants. A large percentage was youthful, and many only children. ,The yoyage was uneventful till running into rough , weather approaching the New Zealand coast, when, as the ship was flying light, she got a good dusting. Twenty-one of the children brought by the, Waimana are war orphans who come out under the aegis of the Slalvation Army. Fourteen boys will be sent at once to the Army’s farm at Putaruru. while the seven girls remain in the Army Home at _Wellington to be trained for domestic service.
