Some very fine granite is at present displayed in Messrs Frapwell and Holgate’s yard. This stone is the product of the Bluff Granite Company (Ltd.), from thenworks at Bluff, and for beauty dnd quality is unexcelled by similar stone in any part of the world. It is equal to the famous Aberdeen, and it is said to be superior to the Russian Black. One very fine monument has attracted a great deal of attention. It is for the grave of a deceased gentleman who was very well known in Dunedin. The stone has been favourably commented upon by all visitors to the monumental yard, and they were surprised when told that it was a New Zealand production, and so close at hand. The work of sawing and polishing was all done at Bluff, with latest appliances driven by electric power. Until this machinery was’ installed a short time ago this stone had to be sent out of the country to be treated. Now the Bluff people are developing the field on a large scale, and are appealing to the people of the dominion to assist them with cash tb secure more machinery to cope with the increasing demand. To anyone' interested Mr Frapwell will be pleased to show them the stone, and the company’s brokers, Mosers Quick and Smith, Water street, Dunedin, will supply prospectus and particu'ars of the promotion of this promising concern on application.— Advt.
