DUNEDIN MALE CHOIR
The Dunedin Male Ohoir will give its 135th concert on Monday next, followed by another two nights later. No fewer than eight part songs are included in the programme, among these being new and old compositions. Pointer’s “Song of Harold Harfager,” with Mr_ W. Gemmell os soloist. was warmly received a year or so ago, and another very fine part song “Strike the Lyre’’ (Cooke), provides pjenty of light and shade. There are others ranging in treatment —pathos to humour. The assisting artistes will be—Mrs J. W. Smeaton (mezzo soprano), Mr J. A. Wallace (violin), Mr C. oe C. Lowe (’cello), Mr G. S. Newton (tenor), and Mr A. T. Reid (bass). The box plans will be open at the Bristol to-morrow.
