SCENE IN CHINESE RESTAURANT

EUROPEANS ARRESTED. (Pii United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, March 27. As the result of a disturbance in. a Chinese restaurant yesterday two Europeans were arrested. The allegations of the occu-. pants were that these men had entered the premises, stating that Chinese were gambling, and that one Chinaman was relieved of a small sum of money. The nvn, Leonard Wilkinson and Thomas Ferguson, appeared in court this morning on a charge of stealing the sum of 5s and several Chinese coins. Wilkinson was also charged with having assumed the designation “detective. ’ The case was adjourned, and bail allowed.
