THE M'CULLOCH TESTIMONIAL. TO THE EDITOR. Sir., —The people of my district are very j pleased to notice, that n movement is on | foot to recognise in u suitable way the valiant efforts put forth on behalf of Otago by Mr MtCulloeh during the recent races for the Sanders Cup. Eor many years Mr M'Culloch led the way in cycling and boatracing, and bis latest exploits in yachting must mark him as our foremost sport in this line. It must have taken no small amount of grit and dlelermination, to say nothing of lime and money, to stand up to the severe strain of the recent test. Through his skill in keeping in the raoc until the last, local interest was kept at a high point and much pleasure was given to thousands of his fellow townspeople. It may not even be too much to say that the success of Carnival Week was greatly duo to his ability to keep his boat going. My guinea went to the secretary some days ago, and I trust that the people of Dunedin, as often before, will supply the wherewithal to make the testimonial worthy of the occasion, and worthy of the efforts nut forth by Mr M'Culloch on behalf of yachting in Otago.—T am, etc., Suburbanite.
