DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. There was on© day short this week on ’Change, Thursday being observed as a holiday, but apart from this the turnover was not extensive. Bank of New Zealand had most attention, sales being effected at 48e 3d, 48s 6d, and 48s 9d, but the best buying offer yesterday was 48a, tbe seller asking 495. There was no business in any other stoex until yesterday, when Waihi were quitted at 19s 9d, and a buying offer of 19s 8d failed to bring out a selling declaration. Two porcels of South British Insurance changed hands at 83s 3d, and 33s was offered to continue business, but the seller asked 83e Gd. Other banking, insurance, and general investment shares were practically without alteration. Government stocks were neglected for most of the week, and more sellers came forward, but prices did not suffer. Yesterday buyers declared at about late nates, but no business was done.
