A person imprisoned “for the term of his natural life,” if the words were literally . interpreted, would die in gaoL The Crimes Act in this dominion provides that imprisonment “for life” may be the sentence inflicted on prisoners convicted of certain crimes. The sentence, however, is subject to review by the Prisons Board, as all sentences in New Zealand are. “ F.G.M."—lnquiries are being made, but the records ore defective.
