THE WEATHER
The weather was again cold and wet yesterday morning, but in the afternoon it showed a gradual improvement, the cold, south-east wind dropping considerably. The evening, though somewhat keen, was fine, with every indication of a fine day to-day. (Fboii On* Own Cobbbspondint.) MIDDLEMARCH, March 30. The weather during the past week has beeii very unsettled. Cold, southerly winds have been blowing, with an occasional gho*er which stops harvesting operations and yet is not enough to do good. Either a good rain or settled sunshine would be welcome just now.
