ANNUAL MEETINGS. FOOTBALL. TECHNICAL COLLEGE OLD BOYS. The annual meeting of the Technical College Old Toys’ Association Football Club, held last night, was well attended. Mr W. Alexander, one of the vice-presidents, occupied the chair. Air Alexander expressed pleasure at seeing the club in the flourishing condition disclosed by the report and balance sheet. It was in a sound, progressive state, and a good season could be looked forward to. The report and balance sheet were adopted. \ Tlie election of office-bearers resulted as follows; —President, Mr A. Marshall (Director of the college); vice-presidents—Messrs L. Storey, L. Bastings, .1. Davidson, C. R. Smith, Gair, W. Alexander, A. M'Fadyeu, A. G. Johnson. •E. Duthie. T. Scott, the Hon. G. M. Thomson, M.L.C.; secretary and treasurer. Mr R. Baughen; captain, Mr A. G. Colbert; deputy captain, Mr F. Finlay; committee —Messrs Colbert, Finlay, and Baughen, with two others to be selected by the junior teams. A number of new members were elected, and a vote of .thanks to the chairman concluded the proceedings. . HARRIERS. PACIFIC CLUB. The fourteenth annual meeting of the Pacific Harrier and Amateur Athletic Club was held in the Y.M.C.A. Rooms last night, Mr C. W. Clark presiding over a large attendance of members and intending members. Before commencing the business the Chairman called upon the meeting to stand in silence as a mark of respect to the memory of the club boys who had fallen in the great war. The Secretary of the Otago Centre of the New Zealand A.A.A. forwarded a circular addressed to all members of affiliated clubs, warning them against forfeiting their amateur status by an infringement of the rules set down by the centre. —Received. The Chairman warned those present against breaking these rules, as it was impossible to regain their amateur status, and they would be deprived of the benefit of the sport altogether. In moving the adoption of the annual report and balance sheet Mr Clark congratulated the members on the success of the past season. They had done well as individual members, but not quite so successfully in team events. He congratulated Messrs R. G. Ferguson and M. Levy, who, had attended every club run during the past three seasons. It was a record to be proud of. The credit balance of over £lO was largely due to the energy of the treasurer, Mr A. F. Griffin. Mr J. A. Bond, in seconding, said that the Pacific Club was most fortunate in its officers, all of whom were very enthusiastic in their work. The success of the club was due to these officials and to the loyal cooperation of the members. The report was adopted as read. The election of officers resulted as follows :—Patron, Mr T. K. Storer; delegates to the Otago Centre Messrs C. W. Clark and W. Stark; auditors —Messrs H. W. R. Outran-), and A. F. Griffin; handicapper and selector, Mr A. W. Mercer; assistant handicapper, Mr \V. Stark; Advisory Committee—Messrs W. Stark J. W. Harvey, and M. S. Hill. The meeting dosed with hearty votes of thanks to the chairman and to the press. CAVER SHAM CLUB. The eighteenth annual meeting of the Caversham Harriers’ Club was held in the Y.M.C.A. Rooms last evening, Mr T. K. Sidey, M.P., being in the chair. The Chairman said that the Caversham Chib bad fine prospects before it, but it was a heavy loser during the war. The sport could be recommended to all young people as a healthy and clean one. The need of I raining, if a young man wished to become fit, was stressed, and the benefits were many. Several members spoke on the resort., setting forth the great improvement the club had made since the cessation of hostilities. Twenty new members were elected.
