A representative from the Moderate League and representatives from the King Country wore heard at the morning sitting,. After sitting the committee met- again iiif the evening to hear a representative from the Auckland brewers. \ ■Witnesses from the King Country urge* that the question as to -whether there is to be no-license_ or license in that district should be decided by a poll of the electors, , as in the rest of the dominion. The Auckland witnesses gave evidence in regard to questions i elating to hotel management.
