There was not as good inquiry yesterday lor Government stocks as ban been the case of late, and in several cases where it has been customary to record buyers and no sellers the position wae reversed, there being sellers and no declared buyers. Three parcels of Bank of New Zealand were placed at 48s 3d, and an offer of 48s for a further eupply failed to elicit a selling declaration. Other investment stocks were steady. The more favoured mining lines were also firm, but without turnover. Sale: Bank of New Zealand, 48s 3d.
