AGAINST PROHIBITION
CAMPAIGN IN AMERICA. VANCOUVER., March 1. Thirty anti-prohibition organisations have launched a combined drive to restore light wines and beer in the United States, says an announcement by Mr Anderson, superintendent of the Anti-Saloon League. The idea is to make wine and beer the main issue of American politics in the Congressional elections next November. Other indications that an offensive has been launched include the fact that tho American Federation of Labour has issued a statement favouring tho modification of the “Dry” Law. Some advocates of the bonus for exsoldiers suggest paying it by taxing wine and beer .
