Whilst Mr Downie Stewart’s tariff proposals are not disclosed, it is understood that he has submitted a schedule of articles on which preference should bs given. The Federal Cabinet will shortly consider trade relationships between Ireland and Australia. As part of the United Kingdom, Ireland is included in the British preferential tariff, which will continue pending the arranging of reciprocal agreements on the election of the Irish Parliament. —A. and N.Z.
