The Brteze left Dunedin yesterday for Timaru, Lyttelton, Picton, and Wanganui. The Port Bowen left Port Chalmers yesterday afternoon to complete her loading for London, at Lyttelton, Gisborne, and Wellington. The Kini, which was scheduled to leave Gisborne yesterday for Dunedin direct, is due hero bn Thursday to load for Gisboro© and Napier. She will call at Oamaru, Timaru, and Lyttelton, to take in cargo. The Karori left Greymouth on Sunday afternoon for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. After discharge she will go to Port Chalmers for survey. The WingStui is expected to leave Auckland on Thursday for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The Waihemo is scheduled to leave Auckland to-day for Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne, and Sydney to discharge general cargo from Pacific Coast ports. She is due here about Saturday. The Waikouaiti is scheduled to leave Sydney about the end of the week with general cargo for Bluff. Dunedin, and Lyttelton. Th'a Orari is now to leave Napier to-mor-arow to complete Homeward loading at Auckland. The Mahana, which left Wellington on February 1, ia reported to have arrived at Hull on March 15. The Australian Navigation Act requires all Australian passenger vessels carrying over 100 passengers to carry a doctor On the Ulimaroa, which arrived at Auckland from Sydney on Wednesday evening, Dr G. Metcalfe Sharpe is the newly-appointed ship’s surgeon. The E.M.S. Makura is expected to leave Auckland for Vancouver, via Suva and Honolulu, to-diy. She is due at the Canadian fiort on April 8. Since she was last at Auckand the Makura has undergone cleaning and painting at Sydney and replenished her oil fuel supply. In continuation of her round trip of the Western Pacific islands, the Unite Steam Ship Company’s steamer Navua left Apia, in the Samoan Group, on March 13, for Tonga and Fiji. She is to leave Suva tomorrow, and is due at Auckland next Monday. The Makura left Sydney on Thursday for Auckland, whence she is timed to sail on Tuesday for Suva, Honolulu, and Vancouver. The Tahiti left San Francisco on March 3 for Papeete, Rarotonga, and Wellington, where she is due on March 25. She will then sail for Sydney. The Marama, which left Wellington on March 7 for San Francisco, via Rarotonga and Papeete, should reach her destination or. March 27. She is to leave San Francisco four days later for Wellington and Sydney. A protest against being made to pay for refuse collected from its ships was received from the Union Steam Ship Company by the Auckland Harbour Board. The secretary, Mr H. B. Burnett, explained that an account for £l7 had been forwarded to the company for removal of refuse from 27 vessels from December 22 to January 31 in connection with plague precautions. The charge only just about covered the cost. The other shipping companies had paid their accounts. The Union Company had suggested that the charge should be debited against the Health Department. WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE. The following vessels were expected to be within range of the under-mentioned wireless stations last night:—Wellington: Maori, Wahine, Ngaio, Karori, lieitrim, Manuka, Kaituna, Kia Ora, Peshawur, Waiotapu, Moeraki, Tutanekai. ATHENIC FOR LONDON. As the delays to the Athenic’s loading are not so long as was formerly anticipated, the company now finds it possible to despatch the steamer from Wellington for Southampton and London, via Panama, at daybreak on March 29. Passengers will be required to be on board on the night of the 28th inst. On Wednesday the Athenio left Auckland for Gisborne to continue leading butter, meat, wool, and cheese, and will probably arrive at Wellington to-morrow. COBINTHIC FROM LONDON. The White Stax liner Corinthic arrived at Wellington late on Sunday night from Southampton, via Panama. She brought passengers but no cargo. From Wellington the Corinthic will come southwards to load Homeward cargo, returning to Wellington for final despatch about April 11. DORSET FROM LIVERPOOL, The Federal steamer Dorset is due at Auckland frost Liverpool at the end of this week. She left Liverpool on January 28, and_ cleared Panama On February 27. She will discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin.' After discharge she will loadl as follow): —At Dunedin, April 18; at Bluff, April 14; at Wellington, April 24. She is timed to sail from Wellington for London on April 27. CITY OP HANKOW. Messrs Turnbull, Martin, and 00. have received advice that the A. and A, Line steamer City of Hankow is expected to leave Lyttelton to-morrow, weather permitting, for Dunedin to discharge general cargo from New Ydjk. The Paloona, whioh left Melbourne on Saturday with passengers, mails, and general cargo for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff, is due at Wellington on Thursday, and is to sail the same day for Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is scheduled to sail from Dunedin for Bluff and Melbourne on Saturday evening. REMUERA AT AUCKLAND. The New Zealand Shipping Company’4 liner Eemuera > arrived at Auckland early yesterday morning from London and Southampton, via Panama, and berthedl at noon. In addition to passengers she has a large quantity of general cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Port Chalmere. Southern passengers left Auckland by last night’s Main Trunk express, and will come over to Lyttelton on the Maori this evening. The Dunedin passengers should arrive here by the north express to-morrow. She is duo at Port Chalmers about April 1, and is to leave Wellington finally for London about April 12. NEW ZEALAND SHIPPING COMPANY. The New Zealand Shipping Company has received advice of the following movements of steamers: The Australind, from St. John, is due at Auckland about Friday, and is expected to leave Wellington at the end of April. The new steamer Tekoa, built for the trade between New • Zealand! and England, has sailed from the Clyde for Liverpool. She is to load at Liverpool this month for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The Tekoa is scheduled to leave Liverpool on Saturday, and is duo at Auckland! about May 8. The Euahine is set down to leave Southampton on April 6 and should arrive at Auckland about May 17. The Wiltshire is scheduled to sail from Liverpool on April 22, and should reach Auckland about June L NEILL & CO. (LTD.). Neill and Co. (Ltd.) advise that the Taiyuan met with an accident by striking Nares Rock, off Bowen, during the night of March 1. She put into Bowen for temporary Repairs, and was expected to leave there on the Tth or Bth inst. for Sydney direct. On arrival she will undergo her annual overhaul end should be despatched within a month. The Changsha is still delayed owing to the strike in Hongkong, but from cabled advice she expects to leave there before the end of this month with a North'China crew. Freights have been greatly reduced from Hongkong to Sydney on produce, and wheat is now being quoted at 25s per 20cwt to Japan. The Huddart-Parker dividend has been declared for the half-year ended December 31, 1921 —3 per cent, on preference shares, 4 per cent., with a bonus of 4 per cent., on ordinary shares, payable on March 23.
