The New York Times Washington correspondent is informed that the United States will not be represented at the Genoa Conference.as long as France^ maintains heavy land forces and Russia has an unstable Government and maintains a large army.—A. and N.Z. Mr Hughes (Secretary of State) and Air Hoover/ are both opposed to the United States participating in the Genoa Conference, or in any economic conference, until France accepts the original naval agreement and adopts a less belligerent attitude, and till Russia demobilises her army.—A. and N.Z. Cable. RUSSIA’S DELEGATES. M. LENIN TO ATTEND COPENHAGEN, January 24. The Moscow correspondent of the newspaper Politiken, contrary to former reports, states that MM. Lenin and Tchitcherin will both attend the Genoa Conference.—A. and N.Z.: Cable. SOCIALIST CONFERENCE. INTERNATIONAL REPRESENTATION BRUSSELS, January 23. An International Socialist, Conference has been summoned for February 5 at Paris, if it is permitted to be held there; otherwise it will be held at Frankfort. The.business will be to. discuss reparations, disarmament, and the ‘ reconstruction of Europe prior to the Genoa Conference. British and Belgian Labourites and French, Italian,' and.
