New Zealand proposes to alter the international date line to bring Samoa behind the lino. The Admiralty approves of this, but the alteration would make a difference between the New Zealand and American time in Samoa, and would cause obvious complications in the islands; therefore a' decision has been postponed.—A. and N.Z.
