WEATHER SUMMARY

THE YEAR’S RAINFALL. During December the rainfall ae recorded by Mr VV. Jacobsen, at the pumping station, Musselburgh, registered 3.120 m as compared with 1.530 in which fell in Dq-, cernbor of 1920. Rain fell on 12 days last month, the highest fall, an exceptionally heavy one, occurring on the 26th, when 1.370 in wore recorded. The total rainfall in 1921 was 23.375 in as compared with 21.560 in in 1920 ; 36.360 in in 1919, and 50.380 in in 1918.
