(From Our Own Correspondents.) CROMWELL, December 28. There has boon considerable rainfall inland. On Christmas Day rain fell from early in the afternoon until after midnight. There was another heavy fall last night, but it cleared before daylight this morning. The fall has evidently been heavy in the back country, as the rivers have risen several feet, and are still rising. QUEENSTOWN, December 27. The weather was fine yesterday and this morning, but a change came this afternoon,, and this evening heavy rain has set in again. The lake is rising steadily. - DIPTON, .December 26. The rainfall registered here for the 24 .hours ended 9.30 a.m. on Monday was 84 points.
