Mount Welcome.—Progress for the two weeks ending November 26 includes rising and sloping above low level on Puketutu reef. When breaking down the reef on No. 29 gold was seen freely in stone. The reef is small and keens pinching out owing to the hard nature bi country rock. As work advances the country should change and the reef should form into a larger body of quartz and make a more general run of gold. WAIHI RETURN. (Pr.n Uniikh Press Association.) AUCKLAND, December 8. The Waihi Company for the period ended November 28 treated 14,638 tons of ore, yielding 43950 zof gold and 31,8110 z of silver. Last year 13,193 tons yielded 36760 z of gold and 30,3230 zof silver, realising £20,631. .
