Work has had to be suspended at the Val Saint Lambert glassworks in Belgium owing to a big decrease in the number of orders, due to the lose of the German, Russian, and Balkan markets, and the competition of German and Czecho-Slovak firms, which have been able to offer their products at half the Belgian price.
