PRINCESS THEATRE

The new programme at the Princess Theatre to-night has for its main constituent a fast-moving and tuneful revue, entitled “The Hello Girl.” The name is familiar, but the piece is entirely remodelled, with new songs, ballets, and diversions, and it is said to be one of the finest of the productions staged by Fuller’s New Revue Company. Bert Coleman, whistler and comedian, will make his reappearance in the vaudeville half, and an entire change is promised from Keating and Ross, Loader and Laney, and Tilton and West. ODIVA’S SEALS ON WEDNESDAY. Scarcely anyone needs to be reminded that the big theatrical sensation of this week will be the first appearance on Wednesday evening of Odiva’s seals at, the Princess Theatre. This act, which the Fullers imported direct to New Zealand before touching the Australian circuit, consists of a'performance of about 30 minutes, in the water and out of it, by nine trained seals and sea lions, together with the aquatic artiste, the Odiya Girls. Acrobatics, dancing, singing, and even a tour through the audience are among the sensations enumerated by the northern press, and the final performance of “Captain” i$ said to be so remarkable that it were a pity to disclose it prematurely. There are some most amusing moments, as, for example, when Butt ironically applauds the singing of Toodles; when 'Boodles has an altercation with her trainer (Captain Adams) about getting into the tank and gains her point by splashing him like any mischievous child. At another stage Cap. is asked to sing softly, finds he has a “frog in his throat,” ana clears it in a manner eminently hum**!, if vulgar. “Glut,” the big Arctic seal, is sent into the tank by himself, and does some remarkable things to order.
