MINING.
MINE MANAGERS’ REPORTS. Pinafore.—The drive off-The winze has been advanced 6ft. The leader is still split up through the break into two portions. The quartz broken down during the week showed! some very good minerals, but no gold was seen. The country rock is much firmer. Moanataiari.—Progress was slightly retarded during the past fortnight on account of a breakage in main tunnel, which took two shifts to repair. The No. i) drive has been continued for a further 20ft, through highly mineralised sandstone country. It is anticipated that by the end of this week the drive will be sufficiently advanced to allow cresscutting to be commenced to intercept the Caledonia, Waiotahi, Cambria, and other reefs. '
