The 'Breeze is due at Dunedin on Thursday, and will load for Oamaru, Timaru, Pioton, and Wanganui. The Karma is due here about Friday from Auckland, via ports, and will load for Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. TU Storm sailed last evening for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui, .. The ■ Whangape left Newcastle at 7 p.m, <> on Saturday for Auckland. The Eoromiko arrived at Auckland at noon on Sunday from Westport. ' The Tofua, from Fiji, is due at Auckland ’ ftt 1 p.m. today. She is due at the latter port on Saturday, and will sail for Sydney on Monday, September 19, The trane-Paciflo cargo steamer Waihemo arrived at San Francisco at 8 p.m. on Friday from Vancouver and Ocean Falls. She will complete loading for Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Timaru, Dunedin, Melbourne, uadi Sydney. The Koranui arrived at Gisborne at 11.30 a.m. on Sunday, and will leave to-day for Napier and Dunedin. ; The Wingatui is expected to leave Timaru to-morrow for Auckland. ■ The Komata arrived at Wellington at midnight on Saturday from Westport. The Ruapehu arrived at Auckland yesterday morning. The southern passengers left by the express from Auckland last night. The Ruapehu comes in ballast. The Kina arrived at Wellington early yesterday morning and sailed the same afternoon for Picion and Onehunga. The Paioona left Wellington at 5 p.m. yesterday, for Bluff and Melbourne. A new oil-driven vessel, called the Utimai, haa been built by Mr G. Niccol for the Northern Steamship Company. She was launched off the slip recently, to have her engines placed on board, and is to go hack' <ra the slip to have the machinery installed. She i« reported to be an improvement on the other auxiliary vessels owned by the company.ff It is estimated she will catty about 200 tons ■on a shallow draft, the latter being essential in the Bast Coast river trade, in which she will be engaged. The Canadian Conqueror, which is at present at Sydney discharging cargo from Montreal and New York, should arrive at Auckland'about the middle of October. After discharge she will load for Now York and Montreal, and will leave New Zealand waters about the end of October. The Japanese steamer Venice Mam, on her maiden voyage, arrived at Sydney recently from Muioran (Japan), after a passage of 28 "days, and was berthed to load a cargo of wheat for the United Kingdom or Continent. The Venice M.aru is owned by the Kawasaki Kioen Kaisha Company, of Kobe, which is reported to control about 500,000 tons of shipping. The new P. and O. branch service passenger and cargo steamer Baradin© will leave London for Australia on September 22 on her maiden trip. The Barodino will be the first of several new liners building for this hue to be commissioned, and she will cater for the immigrant trade. She is fitted up with modern cargo-handling appliances, and has excellent passenger accommodation.
