COAL MINERS’ DISPUTE
MR ARBUCKLE’S PROTEST. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON. August 8. Mr J. Arbuckle, of the Miners’ Federation, takes exception to Mr T. O. Bishop’s statement to the effect that the period of the national agreement was the most troublesome in the history of the industry. Actually, ho says, it was not until September or October that all the companies honoured the agreement, and since then the mines have been practically free from trouble. ’'
