VALUABLE DISCOVERIES. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, July 27. (Received July 28, at 7.50 p.m.) Valuable results were obtained by the Antiquities Ordinance Department in Palestine which had excavated the great cloisters with which Herod had adorned his birthplace in Ascalon, and a hexagonal court with a mosaic pavement was uncovered at Capernaum. Steps are being taken to preserve the Crusaders Tower at Ramleh, near Joppa, and other monuments. So far the Department has catalogued 6000 objects for the museum.— Reuter.
