AMUSEMENTS.

A very exciting picture entitled “Dinty" is attracting considerable attention at the Queen's and King Edward Theatres at present. The story is an unusual one, and deals with the adventures of a young newspaper urchin in San Francisco’s Chinatown, who, by his pluck, overcomes the schemes of n gang of Chinese, opium smugglers. A good list of supports is also provided, and tlie Queen's Orchestra provides music of no mean order. Amongst the many pictures shown at the Octagon Theatre very few have taken a stronger hold of the public than “The Uocks of VaJpre,” an adaptation of Ethel Dell’s novel. The theatre Irarely snfllcod to hold all those who attended the screening of this picture on Saturday night, and there was another full attendance yesterday. “The Rocks of Valpre," with numerous supporting pictures, will he shown again ibis evening. An. exciting story, “The Cyclone," in which Toni (Mix has a part which enables him to indulge in some sensational work, is (he leading feature at the King's Theatre. A pictorial adaptation of George Barr M’Cutcheon’s novel "Cowardice Court." and other subjects, are included in (he programme.
