AMUSEMENTS.

“ Dinty,” tho feature film at the Queen’s Theatre, tells the story of a newsboy whoso knowledge of Chinatown in San Francisco s and friendship for a lawyer’s clerk, enable and induce him to undertake a little private detective work which breaks up a gang of coiners. The principal picture is well supported. “The Rocks of VaJpre.” a picture version of Ethel Dell’s novel, is at present, the reigning attraction of the Octagon Theatre, where it was "watched by large attendances on Saturday. Along with its supports it will he shown again to-day. “Dead Men Tell Xo Tales” is the feature fihn at Everybody’s and King Ecl-» ward Theatres, and its title sufficiently indicates its character. It is full of thrills, including the capture of a treasure ship and the hiding of the gold, hut in the end justice triumphs. Tho supporting pictures are good. The present bill at- tho Grand and Plaza Theatres is a double one. and is sure to' prove popular. The feature films are “ The Plunger ” (a story of Wall Street speculat'ons) and “Wing Toy” (a drama in which Chinatown forms a loading feature). Tho supports include another episode in “ The Diamond Queen ” serial. A comedy drsma of very high merit is at present being shown at the Empire Theatre under the title of “The Jucklins.” It is supported by several other splendid pictures, the whole programme contributing an admirable means of entertainment.
