EMPIRE THEATRE
A complete change of programme was made at the Kinpire Theatre yesterday, and the new series was headed by a strikingly v ttra'dive drama under the title of ‘‘The Jucklins." This is an epic of life in the count-.v. an 1 the artless simplicity and straightforwardness of the story which it lolls gives it a wide appeal and a. very strong resemblance to the nicture of Australian life which was told under the familiar title of ‘’On Our’ Selection.” It concerns the life of a family in the country caked the JimkJins. from whom the picture takes its snrne. ivhat rustie name. The plot concerns ihe love stories of the two voting Jucklins, brother and sister, and it can he truly said that in neither case did the course of true love run smoothie.
