DUNEDIN UTILITY POULTRY CLUB.
This newly-formed club held its first business mooting on Thursday night to elect oiiicers, adopt rules, and duciuu as to trio objects ot Uio club, 'ihcro were a-bout 40 poultry breeders present, and amongst them some ladies. Mr Sam Doveroaux occupied the chair temporarily, 'The election ol olltc.ers resulted as follows: —Patron, Mr 11. I*. Harvey; president, Mr i'. H. Dalton; vico-presiuents, Mr P. Siiacklock, Mr It. Cleddes, Mr S. Dovcnuix, and Mr it. Doom bos; secretary and treasurer, Mr W. V. Stunner. It was resolved that the socrctary make inquiries as to alOliation with the .New Zealand Poultry Association. The membership foe was fixed at 5s per annum, and the secretary was instructed to procure membership tickets and all the necessary books and stationery. It was decided to meet monthly, that the annual meeting bo held in duly each year, and that the secretary and president arrange for a suitable and central place of meeting. A hcartv vote of thanks was passed to Messrs Burke, Coombos, Rattigan, and Geddes for their services in initiation of the club.
