THE CAPPING CARNIVAL

His Majesty’s Theatre was crowded to the doors again last evening when tho various sketches and burlesques connected with (ho students’ capping carnival met with tho keenest approval. The performance is full of colour, and teems with local allusions. The impersonations of well-known local business men, and also those connected with the various professions, are in many instances excellent, and never failed to bring forth hearty laughter. The chorus work is quite a feature, and reflects great credit on tho conductor, Mr T. Ritchie, and the playing of the orchestra is also worthy of particular mention.
