TAIERI ROYERS’ CLUB. There was an excellent attendance at the annual meeting of the Taieri Rovers Football dub on Friday evening the retiring president (Mr Wm. Allan) presiding. -■ho annual report referred to the successin! season the club had experienced last year. 'I he second and fourth grade teams were successful in winning the banner in each of these grades. The attendance at practice had been fairly good, but it was hoped that even a better attendance would be at practice in the coming season. A number of socials had been held during the year. Two members had left the district, and in each case suitable presentations had been made. The success of the teams had no doubt been duo to the capable coaching of Mr M'Farlane. The balance sheet showed that the year ended with a small credit balance. There was also the sum of £l2 (with interest) in the Pest Office Savings P>ank. —The report was c.dontccl. The retiring president (Mr ’Vm. Allan) was re-elected. Fifteen vice-presidents wore elected. Mr F. A. Chcyne was re-elected secretary and treasurer. Messrs OlHver and Frew were re-elected auditors. Messrs Martin, Connor, L. Olliver, Bert Scott, and J. Findlay were elected a committee. Messrs Wm. Al'an, W. W. Turnbull. H. Miller, and M'Farlane were elected life members Mr M'Farlane was elected delegate to the 0.K.F.U., and also coach to the‘*toam. Mr Geary was elected- practice captain. Tuesday and Thursday were fixed for practice nights. The subscriptions were fixed at follows: Vice-presidents, 7s 6d; playing members—senior ss, junior 3s; and hon. members, 2s 6d. The question of what grades should be played this year was _ discussed, and the matter was left over till the first practice. The club discussed the holding of a ball during the season, and this was decided on. Before concluding the club passed thanks to the press. th e 0.R.F.U., the Referees’ Association, the auditors, and the chairman.
