THE DAVIS CUP

CANADA’S ATTITUDE. MAY WITHDRAW. Press Association—By "Telegraph—Copyright. NEW YORK, March 19. (Received March 20, at 11.5 p.m.) The New York Sun prints the following Montreal despatch: “It is believed in tennis circles here that the results of the Davis Cup draw will perhaps cause the Canadian entry to be scratched. It is thought that in competing in the first round with the Australasians the Canadians will not have a chance, and the Canadian Tennis Association is not anxious io lose prestige when efforts are being made to build up Canada’s position in international tennis. —A. and N.Z. Cable.
