LONDON, March 16. .Leading Lancashire cotton manufacturers are drastically cutting the prices of their piece goods, in some cases by 50 to 75 per cent, for ready cash, in order to clear their stocks. London drapery firms express the opinion that the reductions are only temporary. If the present level of wages is maintained prices will harden when the export trade revives.—A’, and N-Z. Cable.
