THE LONDON CONFERENCE. STATEMENT BY PRIME MINISTER. Preen Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, February 15. Mr Lloyd George, in replying to Asquith, said that a discussion of new arrangements under the Peace Treaty would be very undesirable before the conference, • which Germany would attend. He said he did not consider that the proposals agreed to were departures from the Versailles Treaty. The Government proposed to lay on the table of the House the Milner report on the Middle East, but he was not prepared to say much about the report before discussing it with representatives of the dominions;—A. and N.Z. Cable.
