The trans-Pacific cargo steamer, Waimna arrived at Vancouver at 5 p.m, Friday last from Auckland and Samoa. OTARAMA DELAYED. The Federal Line advises that the steamer Otarama ie being delayed in the discharge of part of her Liverpool cargo at Auckland, ana that she cannot arrive at this port until about February 28 in consequence. The yoseel has 1036 tons of cargo to discharge here. ■

CARGO FROM LIVERPOOL. The local agents for tho Fedora! Line advise that the steamer Tasmania was to leave Liverpool .on February 12, cargo laden, for New Zealand ports. Tho vessel should arrive at Auckland about March 28. PASSENGERS BY THE RIMUTAKA. The Rimutaka, which arrived at Auckland Monday morning from London and Southampton, brought the following oaloon passengers for New Zealand: —Misses Boyes, Brown (2), Dunnill, Franklin, Grace, Groom, Has cocks, Houghton, Johnstone, Knight, Macaulay, Merchant (3), Monteath, Noah, Thompson, Watson, Wildnah, Mesdames L. A. Burrand, Bell, Brown, Butler, Mr and Mis A. N. Burraud, B. Earle, Edgell, Franklin, Marchant, Smith, Thomas, Veal and three sons, Bartholomew, Bauer, Fausett, Gates, Richmond, Messrs Bartholomew, Thomas, Bauer (2), Fauoett, Gates, Richmond, Cole, Crawford, For, Henry and son, Hamer, Kennedy, Leach, Marchant (2), Maxwell, Menzies, Quinn, Riach, Bintoul, Vacher, Williamson, Wood. In tho third class there were 237 passengers. NEW STEAMER TREBARTHA. Built by John Beadhead and Sons, Ltd., South Shields, to the order of the Hain Steamship Company, tho new screw steamer Trebartha has been put through her trials off the River Tyne, everything passing off satisfactorily. Tho Trebartha, which is the nineteenth vessel built by the Shields firm for Messrs Hain, is of the following dimensions:—4l4ft over all by 52ft by 23ft 6in, and is constructed on the shelter deck principle to Lloyd's highest class. She is designed to carry 8300 tons deadweight on a light draught, and has large clear holds with steel bulkhead at the centre line for deck cargoes. Water' ballast is carried in double bottom tanks, all fore and ait, and also in deep tanks in the fore and aft peaks. There is a complete equipment of 10 steam winches and derricks, with all tho necessary gear for the rapid handling of cargo through the large hatchways. A steam steering gear of the Wilson-Pirrie type is fitted direct on to the rudder head with telemotor system carried to the steering standard in the wheelhouse amidships. Large pfeel houses are built on fie deck for tie accommodation of tho captain and officers, while the crew's quarters are aft in the ’tween decks, with separate accommodation for seamen and firemen and separate mess rooms for each. An electrical installation is fitted up for lighting throughout and for the wireless telegraphy. The engines and boilers, which have also been constructed by Messrs John Beadhead and Sons, have cylinders 27, 44, 73, and 48in • stroke, and are provided —with steam from three large boilers working at 180 lb pressure to the square incß. The Trebartha is on her way to Australia.
