Joseph Raindeyl a watersider, who had his left fdbt tom and was otherwise„ injured as the result of becoming entangled in a wire rope on the steamer Fort Nichole son, died last night in hospital. (Pm United, Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, February. 14. An inquest was held on the body of Mary Eagle, a single woman, who was found dead ' in a gully near Governor’s Bay. The evi-' deuce showed that she had been an inmate of the Avondale Mental Hospital, and was" out on probation. WELLINGTON, February 14: A gruesome discovery was made on th® ( Tinakori Hills by a member pV the wireless 1 staff when he came upon the body of an elderly man lying near the track with his throat out. The body been identified as that of Thomas Bernard Sheehy, a married man, 68 years of age, who left his home at Hawkestone crescent - yesterday. Deceased made no that he had any intention of staking his life. Frederick Clarkson, aged 16 years, residing .at 134 Maitland street, was admitted to the Hospital yesterday suffering from burns to his face, hands, and chest, 'caused by the ignition of some phosphorus which he was carrying in one of his packets.
