CARNIVAL WEEK
The second annual Carnival Week will commence on Saturday with a trotting meeting at Forbury Bark, and will be continued till Saturday week, during winch time there will be two days’ trots at Forbury, two days’ gallops at Wingatui; agricultural show and People’s Day at TahtuM, Park, swimapiing championships, regatta, and aeroplane flights, _ and, in addition, for th© evening l entertainment there will be vaudeville, picture shows, and opera, so that ample amusement will be provided for our visitors. Hundreds of country visitors have already been housed by toe Citizens’ Housing Committee in private homes, and it is pleasing to be able to inform intending visitors to toe city that this committee, of which Air H. Divers is secretary, still has accommodation for 1000 more people, and they need only apply to Mr Divers or any memb • of the committee to be assured of securing accommodation.
