‘From Our Own Correspondents.) DIPTON, January 27. The rainfall registered at Dipton for the 24 hours ended 9.30 a.m. on “Thursday. January 26. was .28 points. PALMERStON. January 31. The weather during the week-end has been rough_ and showery and very cold. The harvesting, which is now fairly general, has been interrupted. There is every appearance- of more rain. MIDDLEMARCH. January 30. The weather during the past week has been very unsettled, with cold southerly winds prevailing. A very welcome rain has fallen, which will do an immense - amount of good to the turnip crops, though delaying the harvesting, which had been in full swing. The rainfall for the month of January was 140 points.
